ABOUT DR. GEE

Alison has been treating couples faced with infertility for 15 years and combines her medical expertise with a compassionate, caring and attentive approach to individual patients.

She takes the time to listen to patients, to explain medical procedures in easy-to-understand language and to make sure couples are informed about results and treatment decisions – often contacting them personally between appointments.

Alison has been an accredited fertility specialist with Genea since 2001. She provides individualised care for infertility and reproductive disorders - including male factor infertility, miscarriage management and preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) - and has a busy private practice in Sydney’s CBD.

Alison is also a Visiting Medical Officer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital - treating patients with for infertility and recurrent miscarriage- and a Visiting Medical Officer at St Luke’s Private Hospital. Alison graduated from the University of Sydney in 1994 and obtained her Masters degree in Reproductive Health and Human Genetics in 1999. She undertook specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in Sydney at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and was awarded the College Medal in the membership examination in 2000.

Alison is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and in 2006 achieved the sub-specialist Certificate in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI). Dr Gee’s sub specialist training was undertaken in Sydney at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Westmead Hospital and Sydney IVF.

Alison a member of the Fertility Society of Australia and is currently an Examiner for the candidates seeking sub-specialty CREI qualification. In addition, she holds a Council position within the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (RANZCOG) for the CREI sub-specialty.

Alison’s research areas include birth outcomes associated with IVF and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis.
